Two years in a row now I have been given wonderful, old cameras for Christmas.
If only my deep love and gratitude could stand behind the photos I make with these cameras! Could itself release the shutter!
These are from the first roll made with my newest gift, out of order but taken within the same one hour. All but two taken from the passenger's seat of a quickly moving car. My, how I wanted to shoot more, but the clouds have been like a pot-cover lately, and, after being around so many kids at Christmas, I have the flu.
There's no material object I love more than a fully manual camera. No automatic focus, no light meter, no pre-selected settings.
Just you and how you add light to the film. I don't know if I'll get over that. Never the full suspension of disbelief.
