Update on Nas's 'The Lost Tapes 2' Album

Nas is about to drop his last album with Def Jam, which is being speculated to drop early 2016. After that, he would totally focus on his independent label, Mass Appeal Records, which his future albums would be released on.  He is a part owner of the label. News out right now is that Nas will soon be dropping his long awaited The Lost Tapes 2 on Mass Appeal Records.

Read what Mass Appeal C.E.O, Peter Bittenbender had to say about the Lost Tapes 2 album when he was asked about it during a recent interview.

"I love talking about it, because every time I talk about it, I feel like I’m helping bring it to life. Nas is working to deliver this next record to Def Jam, which will be his last [for them]. I haven’t been too involved in that, so I can’t tell you when it’s coming. Once that’s out, then Lost Tapes will follow shortly after. It’ll definitely be a 2016 release, hopefully earlier in the year than later. The music’s amazing. It carries on what he built with the first Lost Tapes. The fans are gonna love it." The first The Lost Tapes album was released in September of 2002, after the critically acclaimed Stillmatic (2001), and a few months before Nas's Godson (2002).
