Justin Bieber Banned From Taking Photos with Wild Animals

If we know one thing about Justin Bieber, it's that he loooooves animals. He's had pet cats, dogs, snakes and even a monkey, and he enjoys posting pictures of himself with furry creatures to his Instagram, too. Hey, what's cuter than Biebs snuggling up to a sweet, fuzzy little animal? Not a whole lot. We love to cuddle our pets on social media too, Justin.

However, the Biebs's animal obsession has gotten him in some hot water from time to time. (Remember the monkey drama?) Most recently, Toronto authorities have told him that he's most definitely not allowed to post any photos of himself with wild animals, especially big cats, and he's not supposed to make them the guest stars at his events, either.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Toronto Animal Services sent a letter to Justin and his manager Scooter Braun that referenced a local code barring the "keeping" of wild animals like tigers, lions and other big cats in Toronto. Only domestic cats are allowed! Apparently, Toronto city officials were none too pleased about Justin posing with chained-up tigers at his dad's engagement party in the spring, and they're warning him not to do it again when he next visits the Canadian city. These rules help keep both people trying to selfie with an exotic animal and the cats themselves safe, which sounds like a good call to us.

Justin hasn't responded to their letter yet, but PETA spokeswoman Moira Colley knows his heart is in the right place when it comes to our furry friends. "It is clear Justin has a heart for animals and, like most people, just isn't aware of what happens behind the scenes," she said in a statement reposted by the Hollywood Reporter. Hopefully Justin will continue to support and admire exotic animals from afar and join up with an animal sanctuary or a wildlife foundation to give the animals he loves a better life.
